Assuming I'm not just speaking to the Barge...[There's a little twitch in his lip; he's very, very tempted to just say, 007 reporting for duty, because he thinks he's very, very funny. But given he has no idea who's listening, he manages to restrain himself.

I have a few names. I found it easier to pick up an alias after my time with MI6, for instance. You would find the name Tiago Rodriguez paired with the title of 005, however.

[He assumes another cover name - even Mathis used his - but that doesn't make it less real. Renee Mathis was a code name, but that doesn't change the memory of an old man dying in his arms.]

Are they looking for you? [Double-ohs have a short lifespan, after all; he can't imagine there's much of a retirement plan.]

I think you'll come to understand one day. You might want to disappear after something you should have died from. Go have a vacation. Drink yourself into a stupor and not give a care about M or Q or any of the other letters or numbers.

I have my doubts about that. [This has been far from a vacation, but he hates being so out of action for so long.] I'm rather good at avoiding those things I should die from.
