[He feels a sudden, harsh flash of anger inside him. It's the sort of anger that makes him react, but this time the reaction is going still. Not in the same way Cassel is still. He notices that, too, but he can't or won't do anything about it. He doesn't know how else to break old habits, doesn't know how to tip toe around these things. He either rams through, or takes a different road all together.

He lets Cassel lean back, locking his jaw as he watches the boy close his eyes. He wants to lash out at anything that would keep him here, now that he's decided to go. He wants to stand free and clear, and he is. He knows that.
